Ormiston Families appoints new Chief Executive

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Bruce Leeke as Ormiston Families’ new Chief Executive.

Bruce will take over in February and said he was looking forward to making a start.

“I am delighted to be joining such a highly regarded and impactful charity,” he said.

“Ormiston Families supports and enables families and young people across the East of England. The diversity and scale of the charity’s services ensure that every year we are positively shaping and changing thousands of lives.

“I look forward to working collaboratively with the board, colleagues, partners and key stakeholders to build on the many successes of the past few years and grow our impact and reach into the future.”

Ormiston Families has its headquarters in Ipswich and works across the East of England in a range of areas including children and young people’s mental health, families affected by imprisonment and families affected by bereavement.

Its previous Chief Executive, Allan Myatt, retired in the summer of 2025.

Mr Leeke’s previous role was Chief Executive of Suffolk Libraries, which he took over in early 2018.
